About Gigatonne

About Gigatonne

About Gigatonne

Gigatonne is our flagship strategy. It is an effective, fair, and rapid response to tackling the global climate crisis. We believe that we can shift the trajectory of the climate crisis in 60 months. We focus on three problems. Youth unemployment, climate breakdown, and the leadership gap in tackling the climate crisis. Projections show that youth unemployment could increase to half a billion young people globally in the next decade, much of it in the Global South. This vast talent pool remains unrealised.  Our strategy is to put young people to work tackling the climate crisis by turning organic waste into agricultural outputs while moving them from being unskilled labour to a highly skilled labour pool. In doing so we aim to become the market front-runner in tackling climate breakdown on the ground.

What We’re Looking For

What We’re Looking For

What We’re Looking For

We’re hiring for character under fire. In this phase of rapid growth we need people who’ve already been tested. We’re looking for individuals who’ve led under pressure, made decisions with imperfect information, and held the line when it mattered. We are seeking experienced individuals who can take accountability for helping deliver on a groundbreaking strategy. If your track record includes execution across messy, fast-moving environments that require acting on your feet while managing a team, we want to hear from you.
