Gigatonne is our flagship strategy. It is an effective, fair, and rapid response to tackling the global climate crisis. We believe that we can shift the trajectory of the climate crisis in 60 months. We focus on three problems. Youth unemployment, climate breakdown, and the leadership gap in tackling the climate crisis. Projections show that youth unemployment could increase to half a billion young people globally in the next decade, much of it in the Global South. This vast talent pool remains unrealised.  Our strategy is to put young people to work tackling the climate crisis by turning organic waste into agricultural outputs while moving them from being unskilled labour to a highly skilled labour pool. In doing so we aim to become the market front-runner in tackling climate breakdown on the ground.

The Head of Markets will lead the market-facing side of Gigatonne, with a primary focus on launching and scaling the sale of a new product: GT Super Credits - our flagship, premium, ethical carbon credit. This is a senior commercial role that will require deep collaboration across branding, communications, MRV, and compliance. You will be responsible for building and managing a global sales pipeline, cultivating deep relationships with buyers and brokers, and driving toward long-term offtake agreements that anchor the business. The role also requires ensuring full regulatory and narrative alignment, and bringing a strategic lens to product positioning and storytelling in the market. You'll need to navigate complexity, manage risk, and deliver sales at pace.

This role is based in Sharjah. You will be expected to relocate if not already based there. Compensation ranges from $75,000–$120,000 USD, depending on experience and final band placement. This role comes with a performance-based bonus at least 15% of base salary and tied to the company as a whole meeting its annual targets. The total package also includes: - relocation stipend (fixed cost) - full healthcare insurance - participation in company share option scheme
